UJAMAA - THE ART OF TANZANIA

This exhibit is the first of its kind in the United States to introduce works of art created by Innocent Malleey Mwaipungu, Sebastian Charles Mnjindo, and Brenda Kibakaya Nakisoko, three contemporary and talented artists from the country of Tanzania in East Africa.

The exhibit titled Ujamma: The Art of Tanzania, represents the cooperative relationships with artists from Tanzania, a country that has over 100 ethnic and language groups and a country that is one of the oldest continuously human inhabited areas on earth. Ujamma: The Art of Tanzania brings to life a visual sense of color, texture, and powerful imagery combine with the artistic diversity of each artists.
